MEZZE LOUNGE, GARDEN, AND DISCOTHEQUE SET TO TAKE OVER DENVER

DENVER, CO (May 20, 2011) – Chloe has been around the world and it shows. This sophisticated addition to Denver’s entertainment and dining culture is coming June 2011. Located in one of Downtown Denver’s most prime real estate spots, the former Ruth Chris Steakhouse (1445 Market Street), will now be reincarnated into Chloe, a mezze lounge, garden, and discothèque. Chloe is the 11th concept in the career of respected nightlife entrepreneur, Francois Safieddine, with ongoing accolades aplenty from Suite 200, 24k and Oak Tavern.

Chloe – named after a fictitious international socialite, known for entertaining in an exclusive lively fashion will be a regular bastion and a must hit on Denver’s A-List repertoire, which will embody the jet setter, foodie, art-lover, and music lover in all of us. Safieddine knew that consumers crave relevance, value, a real connection, something familiar, but at the same time surprising. With the recent opening of the Four Seasons and Ocean Prime, Denver is confidently evolving into a cosmopolitan city; feeling that our city was finally ready to embrace an upscale and lounge and concept Safieddine thought, ‘what better way to bring the best of culture from around the world right here to Denver than combine both elements into one venue.’

The 7,000 square foot space will be a representation of Chlóe- from the food she’s tasted to her favorite design trends, art, and music. Chlóe is that well-traveled fashionista girlfriend we all have, that introduces us to the sangria she just tried in St. Tropez, the calamari salad she fell in love with on her European cruise, and the latest interior designs she borrowed from her trip to Italy. The space will be designed as Chlóe’s Mezze Lounge, Garden, and Discothèque. The three entities will be distinct and separate in one space; however, guests can expect a Mediterranean feel throughout the venue. The minute you enter the lounge, garden and club, you come into her world. Safieddine hired renowned chef Jose Guerrero and nationally recognized mixologists, to execute dishes and custom cocktails cohesively that are meant to engage your senses and keep you coming back for more. “The focus was on keeping the menu fresh, light, and healthy,” says Safieddine, “to enhance the complete lounge experience; not to overwhelm guests with an obtuse menu.”

The lounge offers an onyx under-lit main bar that serves as the focal point, while comfortable over-sized black leather couches and snakeskin ottomans create the perfect atmosphere for perching and people watching amongst the crowd of business professionals and scenesters alike. The lounge is perfect for guests who are seeking a hip, upbeat venue that is the ideal retreat for happy hour and early evening cocktails. Mezze is defined as an appetizer in Greek, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. The Mezze lounge delivers exotic flavors that are as delectable as they are affordable. The menu was created to creatively redefine Mediterranean cuisine with seasonal mezzes such as flat bread pizzas, calamari, marinated lamb sliders, shrimp kabobs, fattoush and caprese salads. Dishes will be served alongside Chlóe’s favorite international specialty cocktails like sangria, refreshing house-made lemoncello, and arancello (blood orange lemencello). There will also be live music on certain days of the week to entertain guests while they mingle. Sliding glass doors will line the wall facing Market Street, which will be open to the outdoor patio in the summertime creating a warm and breezy ambiance.

Venture further through the seductive space and you’ll reach the highly anticipated discothèque, where the gears shift into late night party mode. Inside Chlóe’s discothèque reflections bounce around every corner, the lighting becomes as much a part of the décor as the furniture. The discothèque was designed to be more European in feel with rich design textures from floor to ceiling. The discothèque features a custom made sound system and never before seen 20ft LED wall that will showcase visual entertainment mixed nightly by a vee-jay in addition to a resident DJ, enhancing the energy of the controlled chaos and visually creating a way for guests to transport themselves into a fantasy world. The music will be much like Vegas, Miami, and Ibiza and will incorporate Top 40, house and dance mash ups. This hot spot will be sure to host the world’s top DJ’s and celebrity hosts. The dance floor is made up of bottle service tables all facing the DJ booth, creating a center stage for the venue. Bottle service is highly recommended, as there is a limited capacity with twenty (20) coveted tables.

The action isn’t limited to the inside, enclosed by historic brick walls, Chloe’s garden (located adjacent to the building) offers an outdoor courtyard area with a separate bar, high top fire pits, and cabana style seating. The 2,000 square foot space simply named ‘The Garden’ will only be open during the summer months.

Chloe is committed to share with Denver the things that she’s seen, tasted, and experienced through her travels and life. This concept being unlike anything Denver has experienced before. With over 15 years of experience in the nightlife scene there’s no doubt whatever Safieddine brings to life will impress us once again. With the grand opening tentatively set in late June and including sponsors like 5280 Magazine and Metromix this will surely be one of the hardest tickets of the Summer to secure. With all that, there’s really only one question left to ask… “When can we meet her?”

The lounge and garden will be open six (6) days a week from 4pm-2am.
